Introduction

Delegators have removed delegate from outlook. Delegate still have delegators listed as contact under "people I manage calls for" in Lync or Skype for Business (SFB) client.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue.

Remove from Dbo.Delegate

  • Connect to the database engine with server name \RTCLOCAL using SQL management studio.
  • Browse the database "rtc" and open new query.
  • Find the resource id for delegator and delegate using following query.

    Select * From dbo.Resource Where UserAtHost='delegator sip address'

    Select * From dbo.Resource Where UserAtHost='delegate sip address'

  • Now, run following command;

    DELETE FROM [rtc].[dbo].[Delegate] WHERE DelegatorId='resource id of delegator' AND DelegateId='resource id of delegate'

  • Follow the above steps by connecting to each of the Front End servers (\rtclocal) in SQL management studio.

Remove from Dbo.promptedsubscriber

  • Connect to the database engine with server name \RTCLOCAL using SQL management studio.
  • Browse the database "rtc" and open new query
  • Find the resource id for delegator and delegate using following query.

    Select * From dbo.Resource Where UserAtHost='delegator sip address'

    Select * From dbo.Resource Where UserAtHost='delegate sip address'

  • Now, run following query

    Delete From [rtc].[dbo].[PromptedSubscriber] Where PublisherId = 'DelegateId' AND SubscriberId = 'DelegatorID'

  • Follow the above steps by connecting to each of the Front End servers (\rtclocal) in SQL management studio.

Finally, clear this registry keys;

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\%USerSIPURI%\Dismissed DelegatorList
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\%USerSIPURI%\Last DelegatorList

Important Notes:

  • Microsoft Lync 2013 supports only two delegators per delegate.
  • Handle sql data and registry details with care. We strongly recommend to test these stpes in lab before using it in production.
